Happy Theme
trancebound remix The Cynic Project

Created for Stephan Michael Bonzo
Ever since I was a kid, I really didn't pay much attention to music. As I got older, though, I learned to appreciate it a lot more. Most of the music I listened to early on was pretty old stuff, the music my dad liked to listen to. After a few years, though, I acquired my own taste in music. I got into tunes that had great guitar play and fast rhythms, but I found out eventually that I really enjoyed techno the most. A collection of MP3’s grew as I fed my hunger for hard techno beats, and while I was asking a friend to share some more files, he told me of one group he was really stuck on. Andy introduced me to The Cynic Project, creators of some of the greatest techno I have ever heard. I absorbed the music from their amazing website, grabbing file after file for my techno collection. Despite the fact that I already downloaded all of the music on their site, Andy had another song he wanted me to check out. It was a remix of “Happy Theme”, and I was immediately addicted. Months later I succumbed to the Dance Dance Revolution craze, and
eventually found my way to the DDR simulator programs on the internet.
I loved that you could create your own steps to your favorite music,
and one of the first collections of custom songs I downloaded was
Plaguemix One. I enjoyed the set a lot, and went searching for more.
I eventually found the Plaguemix website and got in contact with
Plaguefox. After we chatted for a while, I sent him a few music files
as suggestions for Plaguemix Three. A week or so later, he sent me
a simfile for my favorite remix of The Happy Theme. Even though the
song didn’t end up in Plaguemix Three, he put it together as
a gift! |
